Those of you who read this blog regularly, know that I love the city \nof Zurich where I had lived and worked for ten years before I emigrated \nto Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I stay in Zurich during one of my visits from Canada, I tend to \nwalk in a dream-like state through the  narrow cobbled streets, over the\n bridges and along the shores of Lake Zurich.I meet old friends and \nacquaintances with whom I have kept in touch all these years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can see changes in this great city, but positive ones: old \nindustrial areas that have been transformed into exciting urban spaces, \ncutting-edge architecture, new public meeting places, huge squares in \ndowntown Zurich, and room that has been created for natural vegetation \nto spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zurich is a pulsating city, but you still find quiet corners all over\n the place. It is a stimulating metropolis, with some areas though that \ngive you a village-like impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not the banks dominate life in Zurich anymore, it is the people who live here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
