Such long hiking routes (the East Coast Trail is a total of 336 kilometers long) feel like writing a mystery thriller to me. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down. Sometimes it’s exhausting, but in between it’s pure pleasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important difference is the fact that I am alone while writing, but on the East Coast Trail I had the pleasure to chat with Ruth and share my impressions with her. I always think that’s nice! We spurred each other on or complained together about another climb when we were already tired. And of course, afterwards, we were happy about the great experience together.<\/p>\n\n\n

For my happiness as a writer, I have to wait until the publication of a book. Soon I will hear your opinions when you read the new crime thriller “Missing in the Dark”, the fourth volume of the Detective Calista Gates series. It’s always a very special moment and I’m really looking forward to it. The paperback will be released on October 30 and the e-book on November 21.
