Bay of Evil

Soon my new mystery thriller “Bay of Evil” will be out (January 20), book three of the Detective Calista Gates series, and I would like to show you some of the locations where the action takes place.

On the northern tip of Newfoundland where Viking boats landed a thousand years ago, Detective Sergeant Calista Gates awaits the arrival of a cruise ship bearing hundreds of tourists.
These tourists want to see the place where the Vikings temporarily settled near L’Anse aux Meadows. Camouflaged among the passengers may be someone hell-bent on Calista’ s destruction.
But then events take an sudden turn: The next day, Calista Gates stumbles across the battered body of an unknown man in an isolated bay.
And a prominent passenger vanishes without a trace on an excursion to the town of St. Anthony.
The murder investigation leads DS Calista Gates to an archeological dig in the barren vastness of Labrador, where two students six years ago disappeared.
Can Calista uncover the truth before more people wind up dead? And before she becomes a victim herself?
