Wonderful encounters

This is my second post about the reader/author convention Left Coast Crime in Vancouver. I just have to show you some pictures and share some great moments that I had with readers and authors.

I was the moderator for a panel with fellow crime writers Barton Birtcher (USA), A. J. Devlin (Canada), Warren Easley (USA) and Marty Allen (Canada). The topic was “Northern Exposure: Canada and the Pacific Northwest. In my introduction, I mentioned that the Pacific Northwest has seen its fair share of serial killers (Ted Bundy, Robert Pickton and the Green River Killer come to mind).

Two of the highlights were to meet the famous one and only C.J. Box who turned out to be very accessible and nice, and one of my favourite crime Canadian authors, Brenda Chapman. I also talked to some really interesting readers. One lady who was raised in Newfoundland came to the convention because she had read my murder mystery “Stormy Cove”. A gentleman came to have three of my books signed: “The Stranger on the Ice”, Under Dark Waters” and “The Zurich Conspiracy”.
